Duties and Responsibilities 

·         Operating and maintaining surveillance equipment, watching both live and recorded video surveillance footage, reporting incidents or suspicious behavior and contacting the authorities when necessary. 

·         Operating and monitoring all surveillance security systems/cameras within the Control Centre in an efficient manner and in compliance with the operating procedures, legislation and best practice. 

·         Recording all events, incidents and actions taken in a clear, legible and accurate written format. 

·         Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policy and procedures, restraining trespassers.

·         Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses. 

·         Ensure operation of security equipment and surveillance cameras by reporting any malfunctioning of equipment in a timely manner to the IT Administrator.

·         Contribute to security team effort by accomplishing related results as needed 

·         Ensure the security, safety, and well-being of all personnel, visitors, and the premises 

·         Respond to emergency situations to provide necessary assistance to employees and customers 

·         Protect the company's assets relative to theft, assault, fire, and other safety issues 

·         Follow procedures for various initiatives, including fire prevention, patrolling premises regularly, traffic control, and accident investigations 

·         Report suspicious activity, criminal behavior, and security breaches  

Job Requirements

Qualification

• BSc degree in Computer science/ICT/Electrical and Computer Engineering/Police Science or related fields with two years’ experience in CCTV operation.         

   OR

• Diploma/ Level IV Certificate in IT/Law/Police Science or related fields with three years’ experience in CCTV operation.

  OR

• · Four years CCTV Operation experience as CCTV Officer or equivalent capacity.

 Competencies:

• Ability to operate CCTV or Security cameras.

• Surveillance system knowledge 

  Intelligence and investigation expertise
