Job Description

TotalEnergies Marketing Ethiopia S.C. is looking for a qualified and motivated candidate to join the Company as a Retail Sales Territory Manager.

As a Retail Sales Territory Manager, you are responsible for the following activities:

  • Implement TotalEnergies Marketing Ethiopia S.C. Retail network policies, guidelines and procedures.

Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) Objectives  

  • Enforce the Company HSEQ and Sustainable Development policies: Risk Assessment and follow up of action plan, Eco Service,

  • Makes sure all HSEQ requirements are fulfilled in all stations, provides required training & field tools, and report on all abnormalities.

  • In line with the company’s sales objective establish annual NM objectives for each site & agree with the dealer.

  • Master the network HSEQ essentials: Golden rules, Invariants, Fire Fighting

  • Frequent station visits both in Addis Ababa & Up-country, draw action plan and follow up.

  • Organize joint visits and conduct on site trainings whenever required.

  • Conduct safety time out meetings.

  • Conduct training & witnessing of Product Discharge operation. 

  • Conduct emergency drill exercise in the stations

  • Ensure accidents are timely reported, investigated and actions have been closed immediately.

  • Proactively anticipate Security stations

  • Conduct product quality test to ensure station service quality and safety.

  • Timely communication of REX (Return on Experience) and Gap analysis

  • Closing Near miss on site by using TM safety kit and with the developed format

  • Enforce implementation of DSSR (Daily Sales & Stock Record) in all stations

Sales Objective

  • Create sustainable values of Volume, SFS (Shops Foods & Services) turnover, EBITDA and NPV in line with Retail Strategy.

  • Establishing sales objective in line with TotalEnergies Marketing Ethiopia S.C. sales strategy, for WP, Lube, & other product.

  • Optimize unit margins by strengthening awareness of our brand, our products and our customer service.

  • Follow up orders placed by stations as per the agreed financial terms, ensure that the order is processed and delivered timely.

  • Evaluate stations sales performance against agreed targets every decade and forward monthly sales analysis report to the division manager.

  • Follow up and report on network TotalEnergies Marketing Ethiopia S.C. Card Sales and take every corrective action for all abnormalities related to card system in stations under his/her supervision.

  • Conduct monthly stock movement of stations & ensure adequate stock of WP and lubes in the station and ensure that there is no loss or no dumping of products by unknown sources.

  • Liaises closely with concerned departments/cross a functional unit with respect to maintenance, supply, legal and other related issues.

  • Recommend company investments to enhance area/territory profitability, including: acquisition of potential /new sites and facility upgrade on existing sites.

  • Study and propose new potential sites in the Region.  Carefully assess and report on regional development plans both in the private and government sector.

  • Consolidation our position in the industry and closely follow of competition moves.

SFS Objective

  • Conduct regular visits to ensure that Shops, Coffee Corners, Café Bonjours and Bonjours are complying with agreed strategy.

  • Coordinate implementation of shop, food and services (SFS) concepts in the area

  • Implement SFS strategy and merchandising.  Food Safety (HACCP) in the stores

  • Act continuously to improve SFS results: space organization and management.

  • Follow SFS development projects in conjunction with Diversification unit.

  • Compile and forward the monthly Non-Fuel Report (NFR) of stations to the Category and Services Manager / Diversification Manager.

  • Implement proposals of lead the change.

Economic Monitoring

  • Compilation and preparation of each station Profit and Loss as a base for setting fixed charge and their profitability.

  • Optimization of Profit and Loss stations to guarantee an equal sharing of the value created.

  • Inspect and audit Stations’ operation of specific outlets when and where deemed necessary.

  • Follow up of Network profitability (NCA) per station,

  • Compute the working capital requirement of the station and facilitate the required Credit Limit

  • Check the financial Situation of Service Station that operate on credit and not covered by adequate security and report the result to the Retail Sales Manager on a monthly basis.

  • Follow-up of station contract, and credit contract

  • Follow up of station financial guarantee, Bank Financial Guarantee Bonds, Insurance

  • Preparation & Follow-up of Due Diligence & Anti-Corruption for all stations

  • Follow-up of station account confirmation

  • Involve in Segmentation of the stations for Investment and divestment.

  • Work on converting collateral guarantees to Bank Financial Guarantee Bonds and CASH

Commercial Policy Animation

  • Monitor the sustainability of stations TOP SERVICE performance.

  • Assist in recruiting reliable and strong potential financial dealers and station staff.

  • Train station staff on implementation of TOP service and station operation.

  • Handle dealer correspondences, timely distribution and confirmation of receipt on the dealer end.

  • Handles all complaints of Dealers and end customers.

  • Prospect potential customers for assigned region.

  • Ensure proper implementation and follow-up of sales promotion.

  • Enforce digital implementation by dealers.

Others

  • Take inventory of equipment’s and fixed asset in the station as needed.

  • Ensure that insurance safety and legal requirements are met by the dealers.

  • Perform all his duties in an ethical and responsible manner.

  • Reconcile and close stations’ account where and when specific station is to be closed and/or deemed necessary.

  • The job holder shall fully commit to and respect the Company rules.

Job Requirements

Educational background

  • BSc/BA degree from a recognized university in Business, Marketing, Accounting, Engineering or similar fields

Required Skills and Experience

  • 4-10 years experience in marketing and/or sales.

  • Training in Sales or Marketing is advantageous.

  • Good interpersonal, Negotiation and Communication skills.

  • Analytic mind, reactivity, availability, curious, able to work under pressure.

  • Computer literate (very good knowledge of MS office including Word, Excel).
