Responsible to lead and manage multiple operations of the tax practice area and to deliver quality tax services, that will increase company’s reputation, and coordinate with tax authority with all tax related issues (as per tax law/rule/regulation).

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Generic Duties:

• Plan, lead, organize, staff & control department’s overall activities

• Design and implement procedures, systems, and tools to maximize departmental operating efficiency,

• Assess risks by following industry trends to ensure profitability, company survival and provide solutions

• Coach, mentor, and develop employees through periodic performance evaluations and ongoing performance dialogue and feedback,

• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures and undertake disciplinary actions if the need arises,

  Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Determine the company’s tax position and the applicability of taxable/non-taxable instruments,

• Accumulate, analyze, and process financial accounting data to prepare tax returns and payments,

• Gather financial information and prepare tax filings for various reporting requirements,

• Maintain communications with tax personnel, and Fund Administration on engagements regarding identified and ongoing tax issues,

• Assist with the development of in-house tax training programs,

• Prepare and update tax manual for the users,

• Responsible for all IFRS reporting and compliance,

• Prepare accurate IFRS reporting and filling with AABE periodic reports format and annual reports,

• Conduct, support, and assist with the internal audit function and initial implementation IFRS and its compliance,

• Advice finance team and other departments to align the business operation with IFRS,

• Responsible for updating financial reporting, training, in line with IFRS standards,

• Prepare, review, and submit timely report for the concerned body of the company,

• Perform other duties assigned by immediate supervisor.

Job Requirements

• Problem Solving /Complexity: Involve complex facts and situations of diagnosing innovative ways in delivering a full range of tax services in compliance with laws and regulations within timeframe, and handle tax related trainings which require high level analysis, interpretation, and comparison of a range of options and decisions.

• Communication: Provide and receive complex and sensitive tax related information for key stakeholders, and provide direction, instruction, or training to employees under supervision,

• Communication is within and/ or outside the company. i.e., Top management, subsidiaries, government officials, etc.

• Physical Effort: Require minimal work-related physical effort.

• Mental Effort: Require frequent and prolonged concentration to design tools and systems related to tax compliance.

• For Finance: Required to plan and manage department budgets, and effective utilization of financial resources.

• For Asset: Required to hold & use office furniture's, desktop & laptop computers, printers etc

• Working Condition: Minor exposure to disagreeable working conditions.

  Education

• Accounting and Finance/Accounting/ Management/ Business Management/Business Administration or related fields.

  Experience

• 10 years for BA/BSc degree

• 8 years for MA/MSc degree
