Job Description
Basic functions and scope of the job:
The job holder is responsible for sourcing candidates through various channels, planning interview and selection procedures and hosting or participating in career events. Ultimately required to creating strong talent pipelines for our company’s current and future hiring needs.
Develops & implements Learning & Development strategy elements across the organization. In this respective role the job holder should be accountable for creation and delivery of learning solutions & talent development interventions to support business objectives and drive organizational effectiveness. Coordinate and continuous follow up of Performance Management initiatives, ensure all units are adhering with the agreed annual business and development goals. Execute Key position succession plan and retention strategies.
Coordinate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, determine selection criteria based on the nature of the job. Source potential candidates through different online channels (e.g., social platforms and professional networks). Plan interview and selection procedures, including screening calls, assessments and in-person interviews.
Assess candidate information, including resumes and contact details, using applicant’s tracking system. Design job descriptions and interview questions that reflect each position’s requirements together with hiring manager.
Being Talent champion of EIH, lead employer branding initiatives. Organize and attend job fairs and expos.
Manage and update employees HR master data both in hard and soft copy through applicable HRIS or special HR solutions.
Forecast quarterly, semi-annual and annual hiring needs together with business unit heads. Foster long-term relationships with past applicants and potential candidates. Lead employee onboarding process support by providing orientation & induction solutions as per EIH Induction procedure.
Support the execution of Performance Management system in line with the strategic goal of EIH
With the Leadership of Talent Director, drive key team succession planning to enable EIH equipped with pool of Talent in pipeline to ensuring potential successors.
Design and delivery a range of learning experiences, either through internal resources or external learning providers that develops the leadership, behavioural and technical skills of the business. Planning & execution of management/ leadership & soft skills programs as well as competencies assessments. Deployment of talent development solutions in line with Talent Management strategy and annual and strategic goal of EIH.
Assessment of key competencies, succession planning, individual and organizational development plans. Take the lead for setting individual objectives/KPI’s/ and development goals based on the annual business goal in collaboration with other functional heads. Ensure ongoing and real time feedback is conducted within each unit to achieving set objectives that derives the attainment of organization’s Objectives.
Closely work and partner with other unit heads in identifying key team succession planning and execution of staff retentions tools. Take the lead for staff engagement and communication of key HR initiatives
Initiate and drive staff retention programs (compensation and benefit, organizational culture etc) in collaboration with the Head of Talent Department.
Support SOEs and new investment (JV) based on their transitional Talent Management need.
Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor
Work Relationship
Internal: Talent and Technology team, peers in other depts, Executives
External: Labour Associations, Recruitment Agencies, Universities, Training Consultancy, Service Providers Bank, Insurance, Government Organizations, Social Security Agency, SOEs HR team etc.
Reports to: Talent Director
Qualification Required:
B.A. or B.Sc. Degree in Business, BAIS, Special certification in Performance management system.
Competency requirements:
Expert knowledge and practical experience as Talent Management, dealing in a specialist role with demonstrated competence in Talent Acquisition, L&D, Performance Management, KPI setting, review and Key team succession plan.
A high degree of computer literacy; knowledge of special HR software is desirable.
Ability to generate and analyse various HR metrics using Excel and other reporting tools.
Current knowledge of industry practices, trends and issues.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated competency to interact with people at all levels of the organization.
The ability to work effectively as a team member in a private multi-cultural environment.
A systematic and structure approach, with strong knowledge and experience in project management and learning management systems

Ability to analyse data and provide recommendations
Ability to handle confidential information as well as using discretion in solving sensitive and complex situations
Good interpersonal, presentation and written communication skills

Language requirements:
Fluency in English and Amharic
