Major Duties and Responsibilities

The economist shall engage as a team member in the dedicated committee for the prescribed work of preparing a business plan. He/she shall recognize the required data set, request the necessary data, compile, and analyze the collected data to produce the economic projections that will help finalize the business plan as per the required quality and cater to the demands of the employer.

• Required Competencies

  • Competency in financial statement preparation and forecast

  • Familiarity with financial projection software tools

  • Excellent communication and report writing skills both in English and Amharic.

  • Interpretation and business analytical skills

  • Excellent interpersonal Skills and good team player

  • Highly skilled in managing short-term workloads and meeting deadlines.

• Required Qualification and Experience

  • MA/BA Degree in Economics, Accounting, and Finance or a related field.

  • Work Experience minimum of 10 Years in Economics, Finance and Accounting

  • Experience and knowledge of financial analysis and projection software

  • Good knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards is advantageous.

Terms of employment: Temporary Contract basis for the period of a maximum of 2 weeks contingent on the delivery of the final draft of the business plan.
