Duties & Responsibilities:
coordination with the response manger, oversee the technical aspects of the health and nutrition project, including planning, implementation, project results and deliverables, in accordance with the plan; ensure clarity over plans and priorities, and encourage effective teamwork across the project team comprising staff from partner organizations.
Ensure the project is designed and implemented to meet donor expectations in terms of timely and quality results and budget, including strategies for phase out and sustainability for the grant projects.
Manage the project’s operational, financial, and administrative priorities; direct the planning and budgeting processes; design and oversee an annual project cycle in accordance with doner and WVE annual planning cycles.
Facilitate the preparation of project deliverables, including annual work-plans, quarterly and annual reports, final project report and project activity updates, and other project-related communication and reporting materials in accordance with doner deadlines and branding guidelines; oversee the preparation of quarterly and annual project activity reports, M&E reports, and other deliverables. Supervise a team of technical staff and ensures clear roles and responsibilities and lines of communication are maintained among the team members. Ensure coordination between sectors, programs and projects.
and nutrition manager is responsible for the overall leadership, supervision and quality assurance for the development and emergency health and nutrition projects from designing to delivery of results to improve health and nutrition status of children, newborn and women.
Conduct frequent field visits and monitor projects implementation progress, and identify and address implementation challenges in collaboration with filed project team, sub grantee and woreda, zonae and regional government offices/institutions.
Oversee, ensure and manage the execution of the entire projects in accordance with WV partnership framework, WVE policies, guidelines and government regulations
Ensure the proper physical & financial implementation of the project as planned during the desired timeframe, while ensuring efficient and effective utilization of project resources
In consultation with WVE project team and partners, ensure the preparation of detail implementation plans (DIP) and budget breakdowns including cash flow for the project based on the project design
Support the documentation and dissemination of project results, including preparation and submission of consolidated financial and narrative reports to the donors and SO in alignment to the contract and MoU.
Print, laminate and provide the necessary OTP/SC guidelines and protocols for running OTP/SC, photocopy for other related activities.
Job Requirements
Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification.
- Master’s degree in public health or nutrition with clinical health background (degree in Public Health or Clinical Nursing) from accredited universities or health colleges or health colleges

Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications
of six years of progressive work experience in health and nutrition program management in development and emergency response context in international non-government organization out of this, three years should be in management level.
1 Demonstrated competency with participatory Monitoring and evaluation, Results-Based management, Logical Framework Analysis, community participation, Participatory Learning and Action
2. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a wide range of partners with varying interests and priorities in the fields of nutrition, and health.
3.Experience in working with Sub Grantee
4. Strong facilitation, negotiation and communication skills for partner and donor engagement is required.
5.Sound knowledge and familiarity with the structure and operations of national health policy, strategies and guidelines related to health and nutrition programs
6. Demonstrated experience in managing and implementing health and nutrition projects in multiple regions.
7. Considerable work experience and capacity to collaborate with partners at multiple levels, including Ministry of Health officials, UN Agencies, and representatives of NGOs, (local and international) 8.Computer literate (Operate MS Word and Excel and Lotus notes
