Financial managers handle all the matters in reference to the finance and investments of a company. They manage financial operations of companies such as the assets, liabilities, equity and cash flow aiming to maintain the financial health of the company and operative viability. Financial managers evaluate the strategic plans of the company in financial terms, maintain transparent financial operations for taxation and auditing bodies, and create the financial statements of the company at the end of the fiscal year.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Establishing and maintaining the organization's accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives.

• Managing Income, Expenditure, sales, payroll and stocks.
  Ensure adequate BG/CPO is in place that enable smooth transaction with Safaricom

• Formulating strategic decisions and formulating business strategies and offering professional judgment on financial matters and advising on ways of improving business performance.

• Maintain appropriate inventory/ stocks controls system

• Risk management and ensuring Internal controls are adhered to, also ensures the efficient use of resources. Safeguarding tangible and intangible assets.

DECISION MAKING: On a regular and continuous basis, exercises administrative judgment and assumes responsibility for decisions, consequences, and results having an impact on people, costs, and/or quality of service within the functional area.

RESPONSIBILITY: Knows the formal and informal departmental goals, standards, policies and procedures which may include some familiarity of other departments within the company. Is insightful to the inter-relationship of both people and functions within the department. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

DEPARTMENTAL GOALS

• Making sure all account records are intact, available, accurate and timely.

• Making sure all revenue in and out is monitored and accounted for properly.

• Awareness of the laws and regulations that apply to an accounting function as required by the government to ensure compliance.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting & Finance or in a related field of study

Experience:

• 10 years of working experience in a similar role
