Job Description:

• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Agricultural Machinery Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in Automotive, Mechanical, or Agricultural Engineering and a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in maintaining agricultural tractors, specifically New Holland tractors for a minimum of three years. The role requires the candidate to be adaptable and willing to relocate to various agricultural sites outside of Addis Ababa, where they will play a crucial role in ensuring the functionality and performance of our equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance, diagnostic assessments, and repairs on agricultural machinery, with a primary focus on New Holland tractors.

• Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in a timely and efficient manner to minimize downtime.

• Parts Management: Maintain a well-organized inventory of spare parts and ensure that the necessary parts are available for repairs and servicing.

• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others.

• Documentation: Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities, including parts used and hours worked.

• Travel Requirement: The position is primarily based at Adami Tullu (Ziway Farm), but the candidate must be flexible and willing to travel to different agricultural sites as required to provide on-site maintenance support

• Training and Supervision: Provide guidance and training to junior technicians and agricultural staff as necessary.

• Technical Knowledge: Stay updated on industry trends and changes in technology to ensure efficient and effective machinery maintenance.

• House Privilege: The selected candidate will be provided with a free house at the agricultural camps for their convenience.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Automotive, Mechanical, or Agricultural Engineering.

• A minimum of five years of hands-on experience in maintaining agricultural machinery.

• Minimum of three years of specific experience with New Holland tractors.

• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to work independently and in diverse environments.

• Willingness to relocate to various agricultural sites.

• Valid driver's license and the ability to operate agricultural machinery.

• Fluency in the local language is a plus.
