Job Description
Grarbet Tehadiso Mahber (GTM) is an indigenous Non-Profit Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) dedicated to improve lives of rural central Ethiopia. It was established in 1996 and legally registered with the Charity and Civil Society Agency (Charity Registration Number 0277). GTM provides rehabilitation and medical services to people with visual impairment, hard of hearing, post-polio paralysis, and epilepsy.
Duties and responsibilities
Under the supervision of the project coordinator, the physiotherapist is responsible for the following activities related to physical rehabilitation
Organize and perform physical examination / screening clients presenting to physiotherapy clinic, recommend and prescribe assistive devices for persons with physical disabilities
Organize and screen patients for orthopedic surgery
Oversee and supervise assistive device workshop activities ( Metal, Wood, and Orthosis ) as well as provision of assistive devices
Identify the physical needs of the person with disabilities and specify the type of mobility aids with full specification
Organize and directly involve in the production process of polypropylene and other conventional orthotics, crutches, and other aids at a high standard
Supervise the personnel at physiotherapy, workshop, and all assistive device maintenance work
Provide on-the-job training for assistant physiotherapists/helpers
Prepare weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual performance reports
Perform other related duties as assigned

BSc Degree in Physiotherapy degree from a recognized University
