Job Title : Forklift Operator 

Reports to: Production Supervisor

Department: Production

Location: Adama Industrial Park, Adama

Job Summary:

A Forklift Operator is responsible for handling material/stock around a warehouse using a forklift or other types of loading devices. Operates forklifts, winches , and other devices, loading and unloading equipment, and storing or relocating materials within the warehouse or factory.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Unloading materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stacking them to assigned places

• Locating and moving stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment

• Operate forklift to transport materials inside the factory or transportation vehicles.

• Move small machineries and equipments with care and safety

• Load, unload, pack, and unpack materials.

• Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance

• Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs

• Comply with company policies and legal guidelines

• Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities

• Operate a forklift, winch, or other machinery used for transporting or shipping materials.

• Carefully handle and dispose of hazardous waste materials whenever necessary.

• Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Job Requirements

Competencies:

• Proven experience as forklift operator

• Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment

• Excellent communication skills

• Excellent problem-solving skills

• Ability to work well under pressure

• Attention to detail

Qualification Required: 

• Valid Certification to operate forklifts

Experience: 

• 3 - 4 years of experience in factory as forklift operator

Languages Required: 

• Amharic and Oromiffa
