Utility Technician at Unilever Ethiopia
Position: Utility Technician
Application Deadline: November, 04/2023
MAIN JOB PURPOSE:
Assembling, evaluating, testing, and maintaining utility equipment, appliances, and apparatus.
JOB SUMMARY / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Troubleshooting mechanical malfunctions and breakdowns, as well as performing repairs on Forklifts, and reach trucks.
Installing and performing diagnostic tests on process systems such as pumps, and compressors.
Experience understanding of Boiler operation and maintenance.
General understanding of HVAC, Chiller, D-dust, Hot water generator operation and
maintenance.
Monitoring the availability of parts and replenishing supplies.
Optimizing mechanical efficiency by adjusting machinery and equipment settings.
Maintaining water supply lines (plumbing skills, woodwork skills)
Operation and maintenance of water treatment plants (DM, RO Plants)
KEY REQUIREMENTS
National B.Sc. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or National Diploma / TVET in Industrial Mechanics
Processing & Packing Equipment experience is preferred
Required to support report writing, data analysis, and problem-solving.
Core Engineering Skills and manufacturing experience in Mechanical and utility disciplines with 2 years of working experience in manufacturing setup.
Experience of working as part of an extended team within the manufacturing sector.
Proven analytical skills
