Job Description
As HR& administration manager, you will provide operational and strategic support in all areas of Human Resources and administration including recruitment, onboarding, compensation & benefits, employee relations, training & development, performance management, employment law and HR administration. Furthermore, you will setup up a workable administrative, procurement and logistics systems and ensure their implementation in an efficient and effective manner. You will build on and leverage existing HR, administrative, procurement and logistics processes and develop new ones for the Ethiopian office in line with global standards & procedures as well as local legal and donor requirements. Specifically, you will be responsible for:
· HR Management System: Develop a strong HR system in the country office in accordance with existing organizational policies and procedures, including development of comprehensive HR database to the country office and being responsible for its implementation.
· Staff development: Coordinate staff capacity building and identify, together with respective managers and thematic specialist, training opportunities (internal training, educational programs, conferences, etc.) to keep employees up to date in their respective fields and in accordance with Light for the World policy so as to align with country strategy and organizational development need.
· Keep track of employee performance: - establish a framework for employee’s performance management, train and facilitate the process.
· Create safe working environment - take care of the implementation of policies (safeguarding, anti-corruption, safety, and security, etc) and monitor their compliance, both internally and at partner level.
· Facilitate and improve internal communication, support organizational culture, and create grievance handling mechanisms.
· Ensure procurement of goods and services are conducted transparently and timely. Setup/strengthen the necessary systems and processes to ensure efficient and speedy workflow with clear segregation of duties and responsibilities among the team.
· Develop holistic administrative, procurement and logistic systems that ensure efficient day-to-day running of business.
· Responsible to take care of the implementation of policies (safeguarding, anti-corruption, safety, and security, etc.) and monitor their compliance; both at Light for the World staff and partner level.
· Contributes to the development of organizational frameworks, policies, and procedures in your area of responsibility.
· BA Degree in Business Administration, Management or relevant disciplines; applicants with MBA in a related discipline is preferred.
· Relevant work experience on jobs listed above in an international organization setup is mandatory. At least 8 years of relevant work experience with a proven track record is required.
· Solid knowledge and understanding of the relevant policies and legal framework on the core functions is required.
