Job Description

Main Duties and Responsibilities

A. Organizational Leadership:

  •  The OPD will support the Executive Director in the development of short- and long-range organizational objectives as well as assessing progress towards objectives and programmatic effectiveness;

  • He/ She will ensure that all policies, systems, and standard operating procedures are in place and are followed in the process of program planning, procurement and implementation.

B. Financial Management:

  • The OPD will oversee recruitment, placement, and development of staff within the department and manages planning, budgeting, and financial forecasting for FGAE’s resources.

  • Provides advice to the Senior Management Team on resource management and ensures timely planning and implementation of financial resources.

  • He/She will ensure timely payment of government taxes and duties for FGAE-owned facilities.

C. Human Resource Management:

  •  The OPD will manage staff recruitment, development, and placement and conducts organizational development and job analysis.

  • He/She will plan, maintains human resources systems and ensures implementation of HR policies and procedures.

D. Logistics Management:

  •  The OPD will establish effective systems for supplies, logistics management at all FGAE service outlets and implements efficient procurement management systems.

  •  Provides technical guidance to logistics, administrative, and general service teams.

Job Requirement

Qualification and Experience

  • MA / MBA/MSc in Accounting and Finance, Financial Management, Relevant Experience

  •  9 years for MA/MBA/MSc at least 6 years of senior level Leadership /Managerial experience in similar duties is required.

  •  Experience of NGO is a plus

Skills & Attributes

  • Proven senior-level financial management experience.

  • Experience in donor fund management and knowledge of donor financial policies.

  • Strong leadership and proven strategic planning abilities.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, Strong work ethic and ability to meet deadlines.
