v  Comply company health and safety requirements and procedures fully & wear PPE when required.

v  Keep lab equipment neat, clean, calibrated and in safe operating condition.

v  Control the overall process of the line, generate report or record data in each line unit operation per batch, shift and per day.

v  The junior chemist is responsible for controlling the quality of the starting materials, intermediate bulk to finished products, from issuance of the material to processing and that all manufactured products should be in accordance with quality rules and regulations of the company and GMP standards.

v  Ensure to determine the nonconformance with specification, check raw materials intermediate products, bulk products and finished products with the set specification and respond to customer complaints as part of the quality team.

v  Practice and implement all standard operating procedures.

v  Ensure that the necessary steps are observed from receiving of raw materials and relevant tests are carried out before release.

v  Ensure that no raw materials or products will be released, until their quality have been evaluated and judged to be satisfactory.

v  Generate periodic reports like weekly and monthly summarizing the tested incoming starting materials, intermediate bulk and finished product and other report needed by the supervisor and other departments.

v  Evaluate and determine the stability of products and materials and set standards in accordance with the collected data.

v  Responsible for keeping the schedule of testing and on time release of results to enhance production schedule.

v  Responsible in observing, segregation from quarantine, approved and rejected area for incoming raw materials, intermediate and finished goods.

v  Responsible for checking batch records from process and packing in collaboration with quality assurance and production.

v  Ensure chemicals & disinfectants are stored separately from food manufacturing/storing/handling areas.

v  Maintain detailed record of inspection, observations, testing and data from experiments performed and prepare reports.

v  Must be able to work in any shift and weekends when required.

 Job Requirements

Educational Background: BSc degree in applied chemistry and related fields.

Experience: 0 year work experience  

Competencies (Skill and abilities):

v  Good communication and team work skills.

v  Good analytical, problem solving and task prioritizing skills.

v  Hard-working, good feedback mentality, result oriented, taking responsibility and accountability.

v  Quick learner to the new environment and change adaptive.  

v  Familiar with ISO requirements (QMS, FSMS, EMS and OHSMS) is a plus.

v  Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
