v  Comply company health and safety requirements and procedures fully & wear PPE when required.

v  Keep lab equipment neat, clean, calibrated and in safe operating condition.

v  Analyze critical points in day-to-day tasks and identify control measures to solve the issue.

v  Responsible for keeping the schedule of testing and on time release of results to enhance production schedule.

v  Responsible in observing segregation from quarantined, approved and rejected area for incoming raw materials, intermediate and finished goods.

v  Responsible for accepting or rejecting incoming and soiled raw materials and products with necessary test result supporting the recommendation.

v  Identify IMS requirements in the food products production process based on microbial analysis results of production line, premises, and food products.

v  Ensure recommended corrective action has been implemented properly and record kept.

v  Carry out internal audit on housekeeping to ensure safety and hygiene system are in place.

v  Take swab sample of work area, materials, equipment, products, and personnel routinely for microbiological analysis, to monitor and ensure compliance with food safety requirements.

v  Inform the QA division head in case of any deviation and suggest/ recommend corrective actions. Discuss test reports and findings with reporting QA division head and QA department manager with possible recommendations to establish preventive control measures

v  Monitor premises of the food processing unit, processing machineries, drainage system to ensure it meets food hygiene standards of the processing unit including swab test on personnel who are direct food contact.

v  Ensure chemicals & disinfectants are stored separately from food manufacturing/storing/handling areas.

v  Maintain detailed record of inspection, observations, testing and data from experiments performed and prepare reports.

v  Must be able to work in any shift and weekends when required.

v  Compile microbiological test reports accurately and submit timely. 

Job Requirements

Educational Background: - BSC in Applied Biology and Food Science.

Experience: 0 year work experience

v  Hard-working, good feedback mentality, result oriented, taking responsibility and accountability.

v  Quick learner to the new environment and change adaptive.  

v  Familiar with ISO requirements (QMS, FSMS, EMS and OHSMS) is a plus.

v  Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
