Job Description

Human resources officers develop and implement strategies that help their employers select and retain appropriately qualified staff within that business sector. They recruit staff, prepare job advertisements, interview and short-list people, negotiate with employment agencies, and set up working conditions.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage staff planning, recruitment, induction, development, appraisal and performance management and contract termination are in line with HR policies and procedures;

  • Oversees and co-ordinates all HR administration tasks including benefits administration; payroll, staff data, recording and induction;

  • Ensure all pertinent personnel information is properly captured, recorded and kept in a strict confidentiality;

  • Ensures that accurate and complete personnel records and filed correctly and kept confidentially;

  • Prepare job offer letters, and employment contracts and ensure that all staff filled out the required forms for employment;

  • Ensure all processes and procedures necessary to the administration of employee benefits ae carried out in accordance with the established policies and procedures;

  • Ensure staff insurance is up to date, including data on staff dependents and utilization of the medical scheme;

  • Ensure all staff has received specific job descriptions and attached the copy on their file;

  • Ensure proper staff leave management is in place and communicate for timely utilization;

  • Maintain and update employees HR database and payroll to ensure all staff movements, like transfer, promotions, demotions and other changes are captured accurately;

  • Prepare an assessment report of an exit interview for management utilization;

  • Coordinates activities such as special events, meetings, travel, training and staff gathering/retreat;

  • Handles personnel grievances and undertakes the necessary investigations, submits his/her recommendations to the respective supervisor/s;

  • Ensure the proper implementation of the company policy and procedure during recruitment, staff development and end-of-service process;

  • Perform other duties assigned and delegated by the General Manager

Requirements

Academic qualification

  • BA/MBA in Management/Human Resource or related fields

 Additional qualifications

  • Proficiency in English, both writing and speaking is essential

  • Excellent inter and Intra-personal communication skill

  • Self-motivated, result-oriented attitude and well-organized work ethic

  • Proven problem-solving and decision-making aptitude

  • Excellent understanding and ability to analyze human resources functions

  • Great knowledge of Ethiopian Labour Law

 Years of experience:

·       4+ years proved work experience in the manufacturing or Import-Export sector

Salary:  

  • As per the company scale
