About ASDEPO:
ASDEPO is an Ethiopian indigenous, non-governmental and non-profit making humanitarian organization established in 2013 and works in all regions of Ethiopia. ASDEPO fulfills its mandate by providing direct assistance to conflict-affected populations, including refugees, internally displaced people and host communities. Under its mandate, the organization focuses on emergency humanitarian response, rehabilitation and post conflict recovery. Currently ASDEPO is implementing ES/NFI, Nutrition, Health, WASH and Emergency in Education, Agriculture and Protection projects in Gambella, Oromiya, Benishangul Gumuz, Afar and Somali Regions.
Job Summary:
The Cash Project Officer oversees s the implementation of Cash Program Interventions in Abala woreda of Afar region. This will require constant interaction with the Cash program manager as well as with sites coordination structures and financial service providers. The Cash Project Officer will also have an administrative responsibility of ensuring that support staff as well as financial service providers are actively following their Terms of Reference and abiding by ASDEPO’s Code of Conduct.
Facilitate to all Cash Transfer Program-related fieldwork including community mobilization program, beneficiary identification/registration, and verification
Coordinate payment procedures, including documentation, and reporting to ensure accountability to donor and the organization.
Oversee Cash Transfer Program such as preparing beneficiary list, timesheet submission, payment schedules, and other documentation and follow up with relevant departments.
Liaising and coordination with all humanitarian partners and stakeholders working in the sites
Liaising and coordination with local authorities responsible for site administration
Liaising with Sub National Cash Working Group
Monitoring Financial Service Provider
Liaising with Program Manager, Regional and Area Coordinator and FSP in setting up agreement and cash distribution plan
Supporting FSP in respecting distribution deadlines and guidelines
Facilitate market assessment and MPC post distribution assessment.
Contribute to effective program reporting, monitoring and evaluation systems for both internal and external use in coordination with the other program staff.
Participate sub-national cash working group meetings
Submit weekly, monthly and quarterly reports timely.
Participate in cash assessment exercises.

Required Number: 1
Bachelor’s degree, in social work, business administration, development studies, projects management, and other relevant fields.
1-3 years of direct field experience in Cash Transfer program preferably with an NGO setting.
Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions independently
Extremely flexible, and can cope with stressful situations and frustrations
Creativity and the ability to work with limited resources
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Understanding of the local culture & language is advantageous.
