Merit Engineering PLC is hiring a qualified Purchaser

Sometimes known as buyers or purchasing agents, purchasers buy goods, tools, and equipment for their own company or for resale to customers. Purchasers work full-time, doing market research, inventory monitoring, and various other duties within the office. They form part of a team, and will also travel to warehouses and meet with global suppliers.

Location : Head Office

Duties and Responsibilities

• Select and purchase stock, materials, services or goods.

• They organize tender procedures and select suppliers.

• Conducting research on potential products, vendors, and services, and comparing price and quality to ensure the best deal.

• Meeting with vendors and clients to negotiate the best contracts

Required Skills:

• Good communication skill,

• Have knowledge of electrical and mechanical equipment,

• Have knowledge on Addis Ababa Market

Job Requirements:

• BSc Degree in Electromechanical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or in a related field of study

Experience:

• 1-2 years of working experience in a similar role
