Job Description
Avenir Technologies PLC is seeking an experienced Sourcing Specialist to join our team. As a Sourcing Specialist, your responsibilities revolve around efficiently acquiring and managing vendor information and products. Here's a detailed breakdown of your tasks:
Gather data by sourcing vendor details such as email addresses, phone numbers, and locations.
Identify and assess manufacturers, importers, and distributors to determine if they meet our requirements. Evaluate if they fall under Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) category.
Initiate communication with potential vendors via phone calls. Present a comprehensive overview of our company and its needs. Schedule visits to vendors' locations and gather price lists along with details of their products.
Conduct a board review, known as a gate review, utilizing the data collected from suppliers, distributors, and market pricing to assess viability and suitability.
Facilitate the onboarding process for selected vendors, ensuring smooth integration into our system and operations.
Perform data entry tasks, including cataloging products, capturing images, and inputting detailed product information into the system.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Experience in vendor sourcing and management, preferably in B2B.
Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with industry regulations and best practices.
Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for vendor management.
