Job Description
The regional financial management specialists will mainly be responsible for the financial management of SLM V in the Lake Chamo basin. Under the overall guidance and coordination of the Chief Technical Advisor (CTA)and in close cooperation with the finance section of the respective regional bureaus and woredas administration, and the GOPA staff based in Arba Minch, the regional financial management specialists will be tasked of financial management, in term all normal payment operation, financial budgeting and reporting. He/she will also assist in the preparation of the annual audit, and he will effectively liaise with the financial management specialist based in Addis Ababa for coordination, reporting, and financial control. He/she will deal with all KfW financial requirements, including the annual audit preparation and facilitation. He/she will report to the GOPA Chief Technical Advisor
Required profiles / qualification
Preferably an MA/MSc level degree in accounting/ financial management.
Proficiency in computerized financial management systems.
Professional experience of 8 years or more.
Experience in projects financed by external donors/ development partners (particularly the World Bank and preferably also German Development Cooperation / KfW) and their policies, procedures and operational guidelines for financial management.
Previous experience in KfW projects and programs with the relevant position will be considered as a strong asset.
Good communication and training skills
Perfect Knowledge of Amharic language and very good knowledge of English in speaking and writing
