About the Organization
Development for Peace Organization (DPO) is an Ethiopian civil society organization established in 2020 with a mission of striving to meet the humanitarian and developmental needs of societies regardless of race, color, religion or cultural background. The organization is legally registered to work in Ethiopia (Reg. 5164), South Sudan (Reg. 4178), Kenya (OP.218/051/22-400/12732 and Somalia (Reg. NGOD/Moifar0422/022); it is also processing its registration in Yemen
Job Summary
The Cashier will handle financial transactions, provide efficient and accurate cashier services, he /she will be responsible for processing tax transaction (income tax, pension & withholding), handling Cash & Cheque. Your primary goal will be to deliver excellent financial service while maintaining proper cash control and compliance with the organization policies and procedures.
Prepare payment in cash as well as in cheque,
Handle cash, credit or cheque transactions with customers,
Ensure pricing is correct,
Keep reports of transactions,
Receives and inspects all incoming materials and reconciles with purchase orders,
Reports to: Finance Officer
Qualification
Education
Diploma/BA Degree in Accounting & Finance /Management/ Economics,
Experience
Diploma Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a cashier or related,
BA minimum of 2 years’ experience as cashier or related ,
