Overall purpose of the role:

The Automotive Workshop Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of the Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Teams and a Vehicle Workshop. S/he will be responsible for ensuring vehicles are maintained and repaired in accordance with the policies and procedures required by AAHI.

Specific Responsibilities

• Supervise the Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Team ensuring the Team meets all performance measures.

• Ensure effective task prioritization, scheduling, allocation, delivery, administration, budgeting and work record keeping.

• Ensure all work is delivered to the required standard, in the required time and in the most efficient manner possible.

• Ensure parts are ordered in a timely manner and stock is kept at required levels and fully accounted for.

• In conjunction with the AAHI programs ensure all Team staff receives the necessary training both initial and ongoing.

• Work as part of the Workshop Team when required to maintain and repair Service Vehicles to ensure they remain fit for purpose and available when required.

• Ensure all vehicle workshop health and safety policies and procedures are followed and all necessary records are kept.

• Cover for other team members when required.

Start Date: Immediate

Duration: 1 year with the possibility of extension

Job Requirements

Qualification and Experience:

• Diploma or BSc Degree in Auto Mechanics or a related field is preferable,

• At least 5 years related experience required,

• Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills,

• Good communication ability, both written and verbal,

• Personable, professional demeanor,

• Knowledge, skill, and hands-on experience in maintaining and repairing vehicles is an advantage.
