Kegna Beverages Share Company or KBSC in short is a Beverage Manufacturing Industry officially established by shareholders on April 1, 2017. The beverage green field project is located in Oromia Regional State  West Shewa Zone, on the outskirt of Ginchi town while the project office is located at Kazanchis,  Elilly International Hotel, New building, 10th floor,  Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.  

The company will engage in producing quality alcoholic & non- alcoholic beverages brands which will inspire human beings in the first phase and also have 2nd phase expansion plan to produce carbonated water, Juices and other portfolios. Job Summary

The Quality Manager is responsible to supervise quality team leader and quality analyst. A Quality Manager is responsible for implementing and executing inspection, testing, and evaluation methods to ensure that the beer products adhere closely to company standards. They prepare reports by collecting data on inspections or other aspects such as production line cleanliness which are analyzed in detail.

Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Lead Quality staff and meeting/exceeding the goals of the brewery requirement

  2. Implementing methods to inspect, test and evaluate beer products and production equipment

  3. On a continuous manner ensure that products adhere to quality standards

  4. Preparing reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data

  5. Working according to deadlines for the delivery of products

  6. Training and managing production line staff in production practices and quality assessment of goods

  7. Tracking products through the manufacturing process to guarantee that each part of the process is correct

  8. Performing detailed and recorded inspections of final products so the products are up to industry and company standards

  9. Eliminating products that are not up to standards and finding the reasons for product problems

  10. Maintain integrity of the main brewery and ensure there is no cross-contamination between it and the on-site wild fermentation facility

  11. Interact routinely with the Brewing and quality manager to ensure that quality standards are meet and are in line with Kegna’s guideline

  12. Work with brewing manager to develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all aspects of production: brewing, cellaring, wood-aging, packaging, maintenance and QA/QC.

  13.  Work with brewing manager to develop and maintain proper yeast management practices to ensure consistent fermentations that meet quality standards and keep pace with desired production goals.

  14. Work with brewing manager to ensure sanitation and upkeep of all production facilities including the main brewery, fermentation cellar, and packaging areas.

  15. Work with other managers to develop and maintain a preventative maintenance program for all equipment to maximize overall production efficiency

Job Requirements

Academic requirement: MSc or BSc Degree in Quality Management, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or related fields of study

2. Work experience: 6/8yrs of relevant experience in Beverage Industries  

3. Additional Competencies:

1. Having a mindset of achieving excellence

2. Management level experience in a production brewery or food production facility with firsthand experience in developing new processes and managing culture

3. A strong understanding of quality and brewing process controls

4. Familiar with brewery management software programs
