The Junior security engineer is expected to have a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices, as well as experience with a variety of security tools and technologies. The engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls to protect our organization's data, systems, and networks.
Responsibilities:
Implement, and maintain security controls to protect our organization's data, systems, and networks
Identify, assess, and mitigate security risks
Conduct vulnerability scans and penetration tests
Respond to security incidents
Implement security policies and procedures
Provide security training and awareness to employees
Stay up-to-date on the latest security threats and trends
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering or a related field and one year of experience as a Security Engineer.
Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices
Experience with a variety of security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), vulnerability scanners, and penetration testing tools
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to write and understand technical documentation
