The Junior security engineer is expected to have a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices, as well as experience with a variety of security tools and technologies. The engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls to protect our organization's data, systems, and networks.

Responsibilities:

• Implement, and maintain security controls to protect our organization's data, systems, and networks

• Identify, assess, and mitigate security risks

• Conduct vulnerability scans and penetration tests

• Respond to security incidents

• Implement security policies and procedures

• Provide security training and awareness to employees

• Stay up-to-date on the latest security threats and trends

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering or a related field and one year of experience as a Security Engineer.

• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices

• Experience with a variety of security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), vulnerability scanners, and penetration testing tools

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to write and understand technical documentation
