• Complying with the company, state, and country’s accounting and financial regulations.

• Compiling, analyzing, and reporting financial data.

• Responsible for computing Income Tax and Pension payments

• Presenting data to Government offices, managers, and other entities.

• Maintaining accurate financial reports and documentation

• Being updated about changes related to finance and accounting.

• Helping management in decision-making.

• Preparing accounting entries and reconciling general ledgers.

• Working with the company’s accounts payable functions – maintaining invoice payment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments and managing vendor contracts.

• Be able to communicate and work with Ethiopian authorities (like Municipality offices etc.) for company-related work

• Facilitate all statutory audits for the company 

• Monitor and reconcile the company's stocks counts in the warehouse with stock keeper(s) on a monthly basis.

• Monitor stocks incomings of both Manufacturing & Non-Manufacturing Item to all company's warehouses from incoming shipments, and process the Process Goods Receiving Notes (GRN) by communicating with the store keepers to reconcile the quantity received and enter data into the accounting system.

• Monthly reconcile the Sales as per ledger with the Z-Report summery which has been reported to the tax office.

• Prepare cost build up Summery sheet for all the imported goods and close to the stock account;

• Efficiently filing and safely securing the originals of all import original shipments files (classers) and their related documents, receipts, and banks' advices.

•  Monitor and making sure to receive all supporting documents and complete clearance of all issued payments (receipts, invoices, agreements, advices, etc.).

• Record, schedule, follow-up, and timely process all company's monthly, periodically, and annual due payments.
  

• Efficiently filing and safely securing the originals of all payments vouchers, payments vouchers pads, all payments original supporting documents, AND all import original shipments files (classers) and their related documents, receipts, and banks' advices.

• Completing analysis of expenditures

• Document financial transactions by entering account information

• Recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting options

• Communicate effectively with clients

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's in Accounting and Finance

• 2+ years of experience as a professional accountant.

• Experience of using accounting software.

• Knowledge of Ethiopian accounting practices and taxation laws

• Proficiency with computers and MS Office ( Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• High level of accuracy, efficiency, honesty, and responsibility. 

• Motivation and a strong desire to take on new challenges and learn as much as possible.

• Advanced finance and accounting knowledge, including experience with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
