About You:
We want individuals who support our mission as a social worker whose primary daily function is to contact and counsel vulnerable people. He/she performs crisis intervention, activity planning, and community building, among many other responsibilities to ensure the health and safety of children and their families. 1. JOB SUMMARY
Under the administrative supervision of the MSIE Programs Manager, social worker performs Planning, coordinating and implementing support packages to help clients and their families cope in difficult times and overcome dependencies Interviewing service users and assessing their current condition, needs, strengths and weaknesses. Addressing each case as a unit and setting tailored measurable goals.
2. DUTIES/ TASKS
· Plan, coordinate, manage and implement support packages to help clients deal with difficulties and overcome dependencies
· Interview service users and assess their current condition, needs, strengths and weaknesses
· Address each case as a unit and set tailored measurable goals
· Monitor and evaluate clients’ progress and modify treatment plans accordingly
· Offer information and counselling on the best course of action
Puts the interest of clients/patients above all other considerations and ensures the confidentiality of all cases;
Ensures the maintenance of a high level standard consistent with available resources;
Prepares and submits reports, as deemed necessary;
Participates in training programmes, as and when deemed necessary;
Initiates or collaborates in research undertakings;
Gives specialist advice to the Public Facility, MSIE Field Manager and Blue Star clinics on any possible action for quality care improvement from which the Centre, PFS and Blue Stars may benefit;
Undertakes any other related duties that may be assigned to him / her by supervisor.
A. Qualification Requirements
Education
BA Degree in Social Work (BSW), Psychology, Sociology
Experiences
Two Years and above in the field
B. Skills, Attitudes and Attributes
· Proven work experience as a Social Worker
· Working knowledge of social theories and practices
· Social perceptiveness and empathy
· Ability to build and maintain professional helping relationships
· Ability to relate and communicate with diverse population and groups
· Resilience along with ability to assess situations

· BS degree in social work (BSW), psychology or sociology
