YES is delighted to announce an opening for a Coffee Roasting Production Manager on behalf of our client. This position is based in China and focuses on overseeing the production operations of Ethiopian Arabica coffee. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding and passion for coffee roasting, combined with a proven track record in managing complex production processes.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Manage and optimize the coffee roasting process to ensure top quality and consistency in the final product.

• Develop and implement production schedules to efficiently meet demand and maintain workflow. 

• Implement quality control measures to ensure adherence to production standards. 

• Oversee the maintenance and troubleshooting of roasting equipment, coordinating repairs as needed. 

• Lead and motivate the production team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

• Collaborate with the supply chain team for the timely and sufficient availability of raw coffee beans. 

• Utilize knowledge of Ethiopian Arabica coffee to enhance flavor profiles and maintain product authenticity. 

• Ensure compliance with health, safety regulations, and industry standards. 

• Monitor and manage production costs, identifying and implementing efficiency improvements.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Production Management, or a related field. 

• Proven experience in coffee roasting, with a specific focus on Ethiopian Arabica coffee. 

• Strong leadership and team management skills. 

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

• Understanding of quality control processes in coffee production.

• Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations. 

• Effective communication skills in English; Mandarin proficiency is an advantage.
