Job Description
1. Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and controls equipment administration and maintenance of machineries and equipment in an efficient manner.
2. Assesses and evaluates capacity of equipment and machine requirements of construction projects from the stand point of their size and construction period.
3. Prepares programs to allocate and dispatch equipment and machines in an integrated manner
4. Conducts assessments on the replacement of old and in inefficient equipment and machineries trucks/vehicle.
5. Determines/ assesses, in collaboration with concerned work units, salvage values of old equipment for disposal.
6. Ensures that equipment and machines borrowed/allocated to projects are returned before or at the time project handover.
7. Checks and evaluation technical specifications for the acquisition of new equipment and machine.
8. Organizes main and temporary/ mobile maintenance and repair workshops.
9. Ensure or reviews periodic preventive maintenance schedules to minimize down time and cost of maintenance.
10. Evaluates performance of workshops and garages in light of cost effectiveness, time management and overall efficiency.
11. Evaluates subordinate performance.
12. Takes disciplinary action on subordinates.
13. Arranges and concludes contractual agreements with external workshops and garages to obtain better maintenance and repair service.
14. Ascertains reliable and sustainable supply of spare parts and auxiliary supplies.
15. Devises and introduces efficient controlling and inspection systems whereby to evaluate appropriateness and effectiveness of maintenance services obtained from other workshops and garages.
16. Approves payments for leased machines and/or external repair services.
17. Designs performance standards and yardsticks to measure to measure the entire activities of the department.
18. Prepares reports on work progress, achievements and challenges observed.
19. Conducts assessment studies towards for the improvement of equipment administration and maintenance services, and implement upon approval.
20. Carries out other related activities as required.
BA Degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Management, and related field of studies
5+ years of experience in general service Management activities
