We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Import Export Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Ethiopian and International import and export regulations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage all import and export activities, including documentation, customs clearance, and transportation arrangements.

  • Ensure compliance with all import and export regulations and requirements.

  • Communicate with suppliers, customers, freight forwarders, and other relevant parties to ensure smooth and timely shipment of goods.

  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of all import and export transactions.

  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock for import/export orders.

  • Work closely with the sales team to coordinate shipments based on customer demand.

  • Resolve any issues or delays related to import/export activities in a timely manner.

  • Stay up-to-date on changes in import/export laws and regulations.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics or a related field

  • Proven experience in import/export operations, preferably in a similar role at least for three years .

  • Strong knowledge of import/export regulations and customs procedures.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Proficient in using MS Office applications and other relevant software for import/export documentation.
