We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Import Export Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Ethiopian and International import and export regulations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage all import and export activities, including documentation, customs clearance, and transportation arrangements.
Ensure compliance with all import and export regulations and requirements.
Communicate with suppliers, customers, freight forwarders, and other relevant parties to ensure smooth and timely shipment of goods.
Prepare and maintain accurate records of all import and export transactions.
Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock for import/export orders.
Work closely with the sales team to coordinate shipments based on customer demand.
Resolve any issues or delays related to import/export activities in a timely manner.
Stay up-to-date on changes in import/export laws and regulations.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics or a related field
Proven experience in import/export operations, preferably in a similar role at least for three years .
Strong knowledge of import/export regulations and customs procedures.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Proficient in using MS Office applications and other relevant software for import/export documentation.
