About Dodai
Dodai Manufacturing Plc (Dodai), is a recently incorporated organization launched in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on August 01, 2023. Dodai is a fast growing organization with a mission of making e-mobility accessible to everyone in Africa through its innovative products and services. Dodai plans to provide brand new electric two wheelers by assembling them here in Addis Ababa and plans to expand to major regional cities in Ethiopia by the end of 2024. It’s thus looking to engage dynamic Ethiopian talent to ensure the achievement of its goals.
Purpose of the Position
The Sales Manager for Dodai will be part of the middle management team and will be responsible for designing and implementing strategic sales plans and expanding the organization's customer base.
S/he will be responsible to recruit, manage and coach a high performance sales team that will achieve the organization's growth by continuously achieving the sales target.
Create and execute a strategic sales plan that expands the organization's customer base
Achieve growth and constantly hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales team
Meet with potential clients and grow long-lasting relationships that address their needs
Recruit sales team, set objectives, train and coach them, and monitor their performance
Identify knowledge gaps within the team and develop plans for filling them
Ensure that company quotas are met by holding daily check-ins with sales team to set objectives and monitor progress
Prepare and present sales, revenue and expenses reports and forecasts backed by latest data and strategy to the management team
Identify and manage relationships with distributors of Dodai’s products and services
Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
Bachelor's degree in business fields such as Sales, Marketing, Business Development or closely related fields
Minimum of proven 7 years working in a similar position, out of which 3 years is in a managerial role
Successful previous experience as a sales supervisor or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
Result-oriented and number-driven mindset
Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
Strong business sense and industry expertise
Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills
Experience of building a high performing sales/marketing team is a big plus
Familiar with delivery/logistics sector is a plus
