Job Description
An Application Support Officer in banking is responsible for providing high level technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users of various banking applications. The officer will work closely with business analysts, developers, and project managers to ensure that banking applications are functioning properly and to help identify and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide technical support to end-users of banking applications
Respond to and resolve support requests from internal and external customers
Troubleshoot technical issues and identify root causes
Escalate complex issues to appropriate teams or vendors for resolution
Monitor system performance and identify potential issues before they become problems
Test software upgrades and patches before they are released to users
Create and maintain technical documentation for supported applications
Participate in software development projects and testing efforts
Work with project managers and business analysts to gather requirements for new applications and enhancements
Collaborate with developers to ensure that applications are designed and implemented to meet business needs
Perform other related duties given by the supervisor.
Job Requirements
Education: BSC in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management System or related
Experience:5 Years Experience as Application Support Officer or Equivalent
Place of work: IT Application Support and Development Department, Head Office
