Job Description
Coordinate and handle sponsorship operation activities at the Area Program (AP) level in ensuring compliance to World Vision's sponsorship policies, standards & procedures, and maintain the integration of child sponsorship with programs, and smooth relationship of sponsors and children, their families and communities so as to achieve the sustained wellbeing of children, especially the most vulnerable and Emergency response support RC, RC families MVC, and the
Undertake and facilitate child monitoring, data gathering, CUP taking and Christmas card management on the assigned KA and collaborate with volunteers and partners.
Take part in TPs activity implementation in collaboration with the AP Project officers and other partners and stakeholders.
Handle and Support Sponsorship 2.0 contents production (CGV, YUV, YUP, YIV, YAP, CSMV, CPA, CGP, etc.) in working closely with TP officers, volunteers, partners and deliver the product as per the plan to enhance boys’ and girls’ engagement in the program.
Conduct child communication (letters), 2.0 productions and other child monitoring data quality check before it is encoded / uploaded into the system and closely work with translators on translation and timely delivery.
Handle and make sure the proper implementation of GNs, Bounce back, Christmas Gift kit money and work with AP staffs for the timely delivery of quality reports to NO, SOs and sponsors accordingly.
Closely work with CESP Officer to manage and follow-up SOIs, and other sponsorship standards.
Handle new RC growth/replacement/hold reactivation and maintain the AP planned RC by gathering RC data information in collaboration with staffs, volunteers and partners and closely work with system specialists and officers for its timely delivery.
Engage and mobilize community, volunteers and, partners to create better sponsorship understanding and handle all sponsorship communications task on the assigned KA
Closely work with System and data management Specialist to ensure that each child file is with complete documents as per sponsorship standard.
Take part with AP Child Rights protection and CESP Officers in implementing activities in relation to empowering child Rights Committee, School clubs, child parliament and other child-based clubs to ensure that children are mentally developed and acquire necessary skills.
Contribute to the development of new projects and activities to be implemented as part of the TP. Carry out any other duties as instructed by the AP manager.
Represent world vision’s core values, mission, vision and strategy with communities, local partners and local government.
TWO YEARS and above in Child Sponsorship and/or community-based project management skill,
•NGO experience in the area is preferable.
•Knowledge and experience of system and database management is an advantage.
•Grass root work experience in development projects management, emergency response, Sponsorship in Emergency SiE response.
Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification
BA/BSc Degree in English, Psychology, Sociology, Development studies and other related Social Science fields
Professional technical skill associated child protection, life skill, positive parenting trainings, qualitative and quantitative report writing and photo and video making skills are desired
Other NGO experience is preferred
Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications
Intensive skills of working on MS-word and MS-excel
Experience of supervising Sponsorship in Emergency SiE response.
Must be a committed Christian, able to stand above denominational and any diversity.
Attend, participate and lead in daily devotions and weekly Chapel services. •Perform other duties as required
Travel and/or Work Environment Requirement
The position requires ability and willingness to work travelling to kebeles and villages.
Language Requirements
Effective in written and verbal communication in English and the local language
