Job Description

TAPU Foods is a business entity engaged in Ethiopian traditional food processing and distribution to all our customers. Our head office is located in a strategic location from International Airport, on the fourth floor of Dembel City Center. At the moment, we are looking for a qualified candidate for an outlet manager’s position, who will be responsible in managing the following daily activities:

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Make sure the Company’s quality standards are maintained

  • Make sure on-time-delivery of products to customers is maintained.

  • Maintain high standard stock management

  • Oversee daily operations, customer services, staff work schedules, and food supplies creating a plan to meet Company’s goals and objectives.

  • Setting realistic timelines and standards for completion of tasks.

  • Creates a positive team atmosphere and synergy among team members

  • Maintains records of staff in periodic manner and operating costs

  • Provides feedback and coaching to the team regularly

  • Understands building capability through various training arrangements

  • Treats all team members fairly and with respect

  • Sets high standards for appropriate team behavior among employees

  • Handles guest complaints in Tapu’s selling points/outlets and restaurant

  • Schedules and conducts periodic meetings with manufacturing and service staff members (prepared foods/bakery, injera, restaurant and sales staff) to ensure correct interpretation of policies and obtain feedback from staff members

  • Assist in planning regular and special events Tapu’s food products and restaurant menu

  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Operation Manager.

Number of Vacant Position: One

Remuneration for this position: Negotiable and attractive…as per company’s remuneration scale

Reports to:  Operations Manager

Job Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor Degree in hotel management, hotel operation or equivalent discipline, and relevant work experience in similar job role in 4/5 star hotels.

Prerequisites:

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent analytic and report writing skills: has well developed Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS), i.e. capacity to analyze, synthesize, and evaluate daily/weekly recorded data; and write profound professional reports per given time - using basic statistical tools such as percentage, mean, median, chi-square, and/or variance analysis.

  • Experience with OPERA/ PEDS Hospitality Management System

  • Good command of both English and Amharic….additional language skill is a plus.
