Job Description

  • Kegna Beverages Share Company or KBSC in short is a Beverage Manufacturing Industry officially established by shareholders on April 1, 2017. The beverage green field project is located in Oromia Regional State  West Shewa Zone, on the outskirt of Ginchi town while the project office is located at Kazanchis,  Elilly International Hotel, New building, 10th floor,  Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.  

  • The company will engage in producing quality alcoholic & non- alcoholic beverages brands which will inspire human beings in the first phase and also have 2nd phase expansion plan to produce carbonated water, Juices and other portfolios. Job Summary

  • The Trade marketing manager is responsible for supporting the sales organization and serves as a link between sales and marketing to ensure more impactful planning, communication, execution, and measurement of brand state priorities and new business development initiatives. He/she is responsible for developing a customized strategy which delivers engaging, relevant and useful content that is promoted in local context ways. He/she is also responsible to monitor performance of executed events and engagements across the country, making contingency plans where necessary to meet goals.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Leads and ensures delivery of best in class trade marketing initiatives and POS design and development that meet brand and sales objectives

2. Sets the objectives and engagement drivers (sales, availability, visibility, affordability, service, quality) at country level in agreement with the marketing and sales teams

3. Develops the yearly/monthly trade marketing plans by activating the customer drivers (availability, visibility, affordability, service, quality, activation, relationship management) in agreement with the marketing and sales teams

4. Acts as the liaison between the Marketing and Sales teams

5. Collaborates with brand teams by joining briefings and brand planning meetings to identify opportunities for the implementation of appropriate strategies

6. Builds brand state priorities by working with local sales team to localize national programs and to craft locally led trade marketing programs

7. Provides leadership to the entire Commercial organization with a focus on strategic analysis, programmed development and resource management.

8. Develops of the annual trade marketing budget, in agreement with the Marketing team

9. Monitors the execution of activities, sales force execution at the POS, etc via specific monthly monitoring formats.

10. Analyzes sales performance and KPIs against targets and results on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis in each of the regions

11. Monitors the competitive activities on all customer drivers (availability, visibility, affordability, quality, relationship management, engagement) and reports on a monthly basis or ad hoc

12. Fosters a creative, open and collaborative team spirit and working environment.

13. Coaches and mentors staff and ensure the performance/completion of all functions, day to day activities and projects

14. Assists in the training and development your team

15. Ensures team engagement and collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders building relationships

16. Performs other similar tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Job Requirements

Academic requirement:

  • MSC/BSC in Marketing Management or related fields of study

Work experience: 

  • For MSC/MA, 8 years and for BSC/BA, 10 years relevant work experience out of which at least 4 years experience in managerial or supervisory positions in Beverage Industries.
