Job Description

The organization is seeking a highly experienced and strategic General Manager to serve as the senior development professional for the association. The General Manager provides leadership and direction for the overall functions with focused attention on fundraising efforts.

Responsibilities 

Leadership and Direction:

  • Provide senior leadership and overseeing all organizational functions. Focus on fundraising efforts to support the company’s mission and objectives.

Strategic Fundraising:

  • Develop a comprehensive strategic fundraising plan for short and long-term goals. Implement programs to elicit philanthropic support from individuals, organizations, corporations, government, and NGOs. 

Board Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the Board of Trustees to achieve annual fundraising goals. Build and maintain a robust development program to fund Association programs and priorities. 

Fundraising Activities Oversight:

  • Oversee all fundraising activities, including prospect identification, qualification, and assignment. Develop and implement strategies for donor cultivation, approach, and solicitation of major gifts. 

Project Management:

  • Oversee, follow, and implement existing and future projects outlined in bilateral and multilateral agreements.

Senior Management Liaison:

  • Serve as a member of the senior management team and liaison to the philanthropic community. Consult with the president and board on matters related to fundraising and development.

Reporting:

  • Prepare monthly progress reports on performance and financials for regular board meetings. Ensure timely and efficient reporting on local and international partner activities as per agreements. 

Branch Association Strengthening:

  • Lead the strengthening activities of the company’s branch associations. Work on fundraising activities in collaboration with the Board of Trustees to advance the cause of the company. infomindsolutions.net 

Administrative Oversight:

  • Control, lead, and coordinate HR, finance, property administration, and procurement activities

Job Requirements

Qualifications: 

  • Master’s degree in public health or other related fields. 

  • Possesses fluent command of the English language in both verbal and written communication. 

  • Proven experience in senior leadership and fundraising roles within the nonprofit sector. 

  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing strategic fundraising plans.

  • Experience in managing projects and working with bilateral and multilateral agreements.

  • Proven track record of at least 3 to 5 years management and fund-raising experience in the not-for-profit sector or similar 

  • Ability to meet all reporting and funding application deadlines. 

  • Proven ability to establish strong working relationships with a variety of stakeholders including government representatives, non-profit associations, funders and other stakeholders in the cultural sector.

  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide support to staff. 

  • Bring vision and strategic oversight and innovation to the projects and programs.

Skills and Competencies: 

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Proven ability to cultivate and solicit major gifts. 

  • Experience in managing diverse teams and collaborating with boards
