• Principal Accountant is responsible to prepare and review financial Statement. Analyzing financial data.

• Overseeing the accounting staff in general accounts division. Ensuring compliance with IFRS standardizes and accounting policies.

• Countersigns on tickets/vouchers and authorizes transactions.

• Follows up all cheque clearance activities. Follows up accounts of suspense nature and reports to his/her supervisor.

• Ascertains that records of Fixed Assets are as per the underlying policy and procedure of the Bank. 

• Authorizes Records of stock and none stock items based on Goods Receiving & Issue Voucher.

• Authorizes Inter Branch transactions and other tax related payments timely. Assist, coach and train  his subordinates.

Job Requirement

Required Education and Experience:

• MA/MBA/BA Degree in Accounting, Accounting and Finance or other business related field of study, with a minimum of 5/6 years of experience in banking operations (finance department) of which 1 year at Senior Accountant Position.

• Certifications in IFRS is mandatory.

• Certifications in ACCA is advantageous.
