• Roha Medical Campus PLC (RMC) is building an integrated health campus in Addis Ababa. When complete, it will provide worldclass, high-quality, affordable healthcare across multiple hospitals and facilities. The campus will be set in a lush, green setting, built to the highest sustainability standards, and with a beautiful urban park open to the public. Development of the campus has begun, and construction is underway.

About the role

• RMC is seeking an IT Support who will be using their technology skills to support the efficient operation of Roha Medical Campus. In this role, you will oversee IT systems and assets, assist with upgrades and fixes, and provide training and support as needed. The ideal candidate needs to have broad knowledge of computer hardware and software, network maintenance, and industry trends to keep us on the cutting edge. Engaging with employees throughout the company, the IT support person will have an immediate impact on the efficiency of our operations and overall growth.

Responsibilities include:

• Install, configure, maintain and support workstation software, hardware, printers, and phones.

• Analyze staff needs, identify vulnerabilities, and boost efficiency and accuracy.

• Execute systems and network design, documentation, implementation, testing, and administration, and ensure components meet business needs and work together seamlessly.

• Implement applications and software upgrades and troubleshoot any performance issues timely.

• Generate or restrict access / permissions of employees.

• Installing new software and hardware drivers and updating existing ones as needed.

• Maintaining databases and ensuring system security.

• Manage UPS, AC unit, Access Door, CCTV camera, generator, and server installations; and ensure their proper functioning.

• Maintains inventory of technology equipment and software and manages the checking out and circulation of consumables and peripherals.

• Set up equipment, TV, meeting room facilities as needed.

• Provide technical support in the implementation of ERP and other systems.

• Respond to IT related crises and emergencies.

• Train employees in using software and hardware and provide technical support when needed.

• Serve as the subject-matter expert supporting Mac OS X, Windows, and widely used software and applications, such as Microsoft, Adobe, Canva, BIM, Google Workspace etc.

• Keeping track of technological advancements and trends in IT support.

• Take on other related tasks and responsibilities as needed to ensure the overall company success.

Location: This role is based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Timing: February 2024 Remuneration:

Salary is competitive and will depend on applicant’s background and experience.

About the candidate

• Successful applicants have strong problem-solving skills, are flexible and imaginative, are high-energy, persistent, self-starters, detail-oriented, curious to learn, are good communicators in writing and verbally, and will preferably have a proven track record of delivering on complex projects in challenging environments. Applicants could demonstrate this by having:

• BSc Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields with 2-3 years of practical experience in a highgrowth startup environment.

• Proven experience working in an IT department is a must.

• In-depth knowledge of computer hardware, software, migration, and networking.

• Strong problem solving, reporting, and analytical skills.

• Highly killed in Microsoft Software.

• Additional IT training and certification is a plus.

• Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness

• English and Amharic fluency is a must.
