Future Hopes Integrated Development Organization (FHIDO) is an indigenous, non-governmental, non-profit, secular, legally registered organization working to building self-reliant and self-sufficient generation in Ethiopia through comprehensive and sustainable development approach. FHIDO has increasing its presence in the community development works and one of the vibrant organizations to engage and address the social, economic and humanitarian needs of most affected community members.

FHIDO is currently seeking for competent, qualified and interested applicants for the following position.

Main Duties

The Program Director serves as an associate and advisor to the executive director in carrying out the primary program work of FHIDO. He/she will focus on technical implementation assistance, fundraising, monitoring and evaluation and providing strategic and programmatic advices.

Major skills required:

• Strong leadership skills;

• Track record of bringing innovative creative thinking and fresh ideas to an organization and/ or its services;

• Knowledge of the fundraising environment and of a range techniques and disciplines which will support the cost effective generation of income for FHIDO;

• Exceptionally convincing and persuasive written and oral skills with the ability to present and convey complex ideas and issues clearly and coherently;

• Highly self-motivated and able to work autonomously, take initiative and make decisions;

• Strong team building and communication skills 

• Excellent resource mobilization  and project proposal writing skill

• Proven Monitoring Evaluation Reporting Learning (MERL) Skill.

• Excellent managerial, supervisory, report writing and interpersonal skills

No. of Position:- One

Term of employment: One year with possibility of extension based on performance assessment

Salary: As per the scale of the organization

Duty Station: Addis Ababa

Job Requirements

Required Qualification: -

• BA/MA degree in Sociology, Social work, Development studies and other related social science field.

Work Experience: -

• 10 years for BA & 5 years for MA degree, NGO experience in community development with strong exposure to sponsorship and grant programs management.
