JOB SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Shift Manager/ supervisor, operates machines in the Preparatory section and Oil Mill of Solvent extraction plant. Operates and monitors various machinery in Seed Preparation and Oil mill, handles all processes as per set procedures and performs preventive maintenance into the machine.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up the production equipment and supplies before executing the job orders.

• Operation of machines in the Preparatory and oil mill of the Solvent extraction Plant.

• Ensures that the quality of products is up to the requisite standard;

• Ensures the proper functioning of machines and reports on malfunctioning ones;

• Assists in the maintenance of machines in the section; Manages tools and spares required.

• Ensures the proper storage of raw materials and finished goods

• Ensures the proper cleaning of machines and devices;

• Fills out work performed, receipt and hand over of materials;

• Handles and ensures the proper upkeep of fire extinguishers; Implements safety guidelines;

• Fully aware of operational safety to be followed in Solvent extraction plant and Oil mill

• Performs other related duties as required.

Job Requirements

COMPETENCIES: -

• Good knowledge of oil mill and solvent extraction plant machinery characteristics

• Good understanding of Oil extraction for various types of seeds and cakes

• Good knowledge of occupational safety standards

• Ability to diagnose malfunctions and take corrective actions

• Ability to ensure the quality of work

• Skill in the care and use of material and machinery 

• Operational skill

• Communication skill

QUALIFICATIONS: -

• Diploma/Technical Vocational Graduate(10+2) in Technical field/ Mechanical or Electrical

EXPERIENCE: -

• 3+ Years of Relevant experience in preparatory section and Oil mill machine operation and process under a similar firm
