Job Description
Dugda Construction PLC is looking to recruit an experienced, energetic, and committed Finance Manager.
Dugda Construction is a solid Construction Company established since 2011 E.C that offers a complete one-stop solution in building construction, specialized foundation, and ready-Mix concrete. As a grade-1Buliding contractor (BC-1), and grade – Foundation Specialist Contractor (SC-1), Dugda Construction provides a wide range of professional engineering solutions by implementing economical techniques.
HST is a knowledge company operating in Ethiopia, which provides a broad range of professional services to clients across various industries. Dugda Construction PLC has engaged HST to support the recruitment for the position of Finance Manager.
The Finance Manager is expected to develop and implement financial strategies that enable Dugda Construction achieves its objectives successfully.
Set annual financial performance targets for the Company.
Design budget formulation basis and budget preparation process and maintain strict budget discipline.
Identify the best way for financing projects.
Oversee effective implementation of Company financial policies and procedures.
Ensure that adequate finance is available to accomplish the daily operational activities and to meet Company’s financial obligations to internal and external creditors.
In close collaboration with Internal Audit Services, implement regular auditing schedule by internal audit and external audit.
Manage the preparation of periodic financial reports.
Establish close relationships with banks in matters related to foreign exchange, currency hedging, saving and current accounts.
Develop close relationships with Tax Authorities in matters related to periodic tax reports, payment of taxes, custom issues etc.
Closely monitor and ensure that accurate and up to date accounts and financial records are maintained based on Company financial policy and procedure.
Ensure that information on financial status of the Company is readily at hand whenever required.
In collaboration with Sourcing and logistics Manager, design a system for material management.
Periodically conduct performance appraisal of subordinates and staff to identify performance gaps or outstanding performance and take appropriate action.
Prepare management report for decision-making, including project appraisal, evaluation, and post-implementation analysis.
Required Education, Experience and Competencies:
Master's Degree in Accounting and Finance, Banking, Business Administration, Economics, or equivalent discipline and at least 12 years working experience with minimum 6 years in a senior management position.
BA Degree in Accounting and Finance, Banking, Business Administration, Economics, or equivalent discipline and at least 15 years working experience with minimum 8 years in a senior management position.
