Job Description
DEC is a local CSO established in 2007 and re-registered in May 2019 as per the new Authority for CSO Proclamation by the Ethiopian government bearing a registration number of 0009. The organization has five major programs; Child Well-being and Education Development Program, Gender and Life Skill Development, Employable Skills Development Program, Advocacy, and Humanitarian Emergency Program. DEC actively works in six National Regional States and one city administration of Ethiopia namely Amhara, Afar, Oromia, Tigray, Gambela, Benishangul Gumuz, and Addis Ababa City Administration.
DEC would like to recruit for;
Multisectorial Emergency response project in Dambe Woreda, Kamashi Zone of Benishangul Gumuz Region for the following positions
Major Duties and Responsibilities of WASH Program Coordinator
Plan, Organize, coordinate, budget, monitor and lead WASH programs and projects with organization staffs, partners, and stakeholders.
Develop WASH infrastructure, construction, and rehabilitation design and prepare the required Bill Of Quantity (BOQ) .
Supporting stakeholders and partners in the region and district to adopt and implement appropriate and sustainable WASH technologies, models, and approaches
Communicate with WASH lead partners and provide required compliance including report
Provide technical support for WASH implementing staffs, and communities and strengthen implementation
Participate in the national, regional, and Zonal level WASH cluster meetings, training and learning stages
Develop, produce, and design IEC/ BCC material for Behavioral changes
Developing and Managing Regional and District Partnership with Key government agencies and CSOs, Implementing partners, and implement various WASH projects
Implementing service monitoring activities including work on the WASH service Level monitoring; WASH budget tracking and expenditure studies.
Communicate, document, and share WASH best practices and innovations from the ground and in the system

Qualification
Hydraulic / water supply Engineer , Environmental engineer and Related
Applicants should have:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and excellent awareness about communities, government structure, etc
Good in speaking and writing English.
Good report writing skills; able to collect documents and share records and information.
Ability and willingness to travel and work in any place where the project is implemented within approved security frameworks.
Basic computer skills and mobile literacy are desirable.ththtshtjtdhtd
Experiences of working in NGOs and communities at the grass root level are advantageous
Experiences in volunteering, community service, and passion for development work are advantageous.
Work experience in productive areas and knowledge of local culture is advantageous
Excellent networking skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
