Duties & Responsibilities:

• Plan and oversee the entire company’s vehicle maintenance activities of the company.

• Inspect and diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunctions in automobiles and light trucks.

• Collect, organize and plan on vehicles maintenance by receiving gathering current vehicles status from all district’s drivers team leaders and drivers.

• Follow vehicles getting maintenance at external garage. Examine the garage performance and give feedback for transport manager.

• Arrange a rolling inspection once a week to check all district’s vehicles status and advise the drivers based on the assessed feedback.

• Initiate any required vehicles spare parts purchase and follow the purchase end to end.

• Inspect driver’s way of driving and take a corrective action up to grounding the driver based on procedural inspection.

• Plan required maintenance on vehicles and share the plan for vehicles owned department or district supervisors earlier.

• Develop maintenance procedures and insuring procedures.

• Examine company vehicle and reviews maintenance.

• Record to ensure that trucks have been maintained according to the prescribed job order. Organize proper hard copy and soft copy maintenance history jacket.

• Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities.

• Follow companies’ vehicles are clean and tidy. Make a weekly report on this.

• Perform scheduled visual inspections of all vehicles under the company.

• Record all corrective action required for planned maintenance.

• Inspect and note quality of maintenance performed by external garage and give feedback.

• Prepare and issue emergency maintenance instructions to appropriate staff.

• Handover a vehicle for drivers and management if he/she is self-driving using company's format.

• Conduct spot checks on maintained vehicles to verify work completion.

• Check all repair works performed on internal/external garage completeness. This includes physical inspections and road test before vehicle is turned back to user department.

• Perform preventive maintenance on all company vehicles.

• Examine reports for accuracy on each vehicle and tools on the vehicles are properly kept; prepare reports on vehicles repaired.

• Initiate cleaning of own garage compound, making sure the working area is clean.

• Prepare a technical presentation for drivers and advise the transport manager on technical issues.

• Ensure Health and Safety polices are compliant with.

• Perform other duties arranged by transport manager.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or in a related field of study

Experience:

• 3-5 years of working experience
