Job Description

Background of the company

  • Kerchanshe Group is the largest producer and exporter of coffee in Ethiopia, and engage in manufacturing, agro-processing and export business. It has a proud history of providing quality coffees to the local and international markets. Currently Kerchanshe Group needs a dedicated and motivated candidate.

Job Purpose: 

  • To ensure that all cherries received at the washing station are properly processed, washed, sorted, stored, and transported according to Standard Operating Procedures and work instructions while ensuring that all documents are accurately and timely recorded

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates and manages the sourcing of green coffee beans and other raw materials required for coffee production.

  • Builds relationships with new and existing green coffee suppliers and seeks out sources of high-quality and beans ensuring timely and reliable delivery.

  • Implements effective planning and sourcing systems for green coffee and raw materials.

  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify system requirements, evaluates potential solutions, and manages the implementation process.

  • Monitors and controls inventory levels to prevent stockouts or excessive inventory. Implements inventory management strategies, including forecasting, safety stock, and replenishments processes, to optimize inventory levels.

  •  Works closely with the quality improvement teams to ensure that all incoming green coffee beans meet the corporate’s quality standards.

  • Collaborate with suppliers to address quality issues and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Drives sustainability initiatives within the supply chain, such as promoting sustainable sourcing practices, reducing environmental impact, and supporting fair trade and ethical sourcing principles.

  • Analyzes supply chain data and generates regular reports to assess performance, identifies areas for improvement, and supports data-driven decision making.

  • Provides insights and recommendations to optimize supply chain operations and improve efficiency.

  • Performs other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.

 Job Requirements

Qualification and Skills:

  • BA or MA in Business Management, Business administration or related fields.

Experience: 

  • 5 years for BA

  • 3 years for MA

Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.

  • Leadership Skills.
