Background

Association of Pastoralist Community for Change (APCfC) is a local Non-Governmental Organization registered with Oromia Attorney General Bureau (OAGB) in accordance with the Oromia Regional State proclamation for Civil Society Organizations with a certificate No WB/03/0099.

Currently,  APCfC is implementing Peace building, Humanitarian Assistance and Triple Nexus Projects in Pastoralist areas of Oromia regional state with financial support from the Dan Church Aid(DCA), CST Ethiopia and GIZ-Civil Peace Service. To meet its organizational objectives APCfC calls for competent professionals to apply for the following vacant position.

Job position summary:

Under direct supervision of APCfC Field Officer Coordinator, the overall role of the Driver is to drive APCfC vehicles to transport organization personnel or visitors and serving as a messenger.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• ​Provide transport services using organization’s vehicle.

• Completes vehicle logbook and ensures that all journeys undertaken are authorized by supervisor.

• Collects and delivers external mail, to various destinations as required.

• Drives/collects visitors and staff to/from various destinations as required.

• Cleans vehicles and ensures that they are always kept in a clean and tidy condition.

• Ensures that the vehicle is always roadworthy and reports defects.

• undertakes other related duties as directed by the supervisor.

Required number: 1 (One)

Duty Station:  Dire Woreda with frequent travel to project target kebeles.

Terms of Employment: ten months, with possibility of extension

Basic Salary: Birr 8,800.00(Eighty-eight thousand eight hundred only) plus 30% hardship Allowance.

• Timeous and safe delivery/collection of visitors and employees

• Prompt delivery/ collection of mail and deposit of cheques

• Vehicle in a tidy and road worthy condition

• Punctuality & Compliance

• Minimal accident rate

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• ​TVET Certificate plus two years, or Secondary school Education (grade 8) certificate plus 4 years.

• Automobile/Light duty driver’s license
