Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled IT professional to join our team company on a part-time basis. As an IT Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our technology infrastructure and assisting team members with their IT needs. This position offers a great opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our company through effective technology management.

Responsibilities:

Technical Support:

• Provide timely and efficient technical support to team members, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues. Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems encountered by users and escalate complex issues to appropriate channels when necessary. Assist in the setup, installation, and configuration of hardware and software applications.

Network and System Administration:

• Manage and maintain the company's computer network, ensuring its reliability, security, and performance. Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups to safeguard data and minimize vulnerabilities. Monitor network activity, identify potential security risks, and implement appropriate measures to protect against threats.

Software and Hardware Management:

• Install, configure, and update software applications on user devices. Conduct regular audits to ensure software licenses are up to date and compliant. Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs, replacements, and warranty claims.

User Training and Documentation:

• Conduct training sessions to educate team members on IT best practices, including data security and proper use of technology resources. Develop user guides and documentation to facilitate self-help for common IT issues. Maintain an up-to-date inventory of hardware, software, and licenses.

Technology Planning and Recommendations:

• Stay informed about the latest IT trends, tools, and technologies relevant to our industry. Collaborate with management to assess technology needs and make recommendations for system upgrades or enhancements. Assist in the procurement process by evaluating and recommending hardware and software solutions.

Job Requirements

Qualifications: 

• Proven experience working in IT support or a similar role 

• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking principles. 

• Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. 

• Familiarity with operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS) and productivity software Understanding of network protocols, security, and data backup strategies. 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to assist users with varying technical backgrounds.

• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively. 

• Flexibility to adapt to changing technology requirements
