Job Description
OLA Energy Ethiopia Limited is a Company engaged in the distribution of Oil and Gas Products in Ethiopia. We would like to recruit an Assistant Stock Accountant, who can join our diverse and talented Finance team. We offer an environment where development, challenge, and recognition are encouraged. Here is what we are looking for.
Make sure that all stock-related GRNI (Goods Received note Invoiced) and other GL accounts are reconciled and submitted on time
Checks purchase quantities per Ethiopian Petroleum Service Enterprise (EPSE) invoice against OLA Energy Ethiopia Limited record
Process Payments to EPSE and ensure payments are made on the due date
Process payment of insurance for packed products as per purchase order and bill of loading
Checks the daily stock integrity report and follow up clearance of differences on time
Reconcile and summarize price differentials
Prepare accrual journal voucher for month-end closing
Run month-end allocation journals and other month-end processes
Produce gross margin report as per the closing timetable
Follow up clearance of long outstanding in transit and stock account differences.
Qualifications requirements
BA Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field of studies from a recognized college/university with CGPA 3.2 and above
2-3 years experience in areas related to stock management and related areas.
Competencies/Skills needed
Ability to work under pressure
Having good analytical skills
Very good team player
Knowledge of the use of computers, i.e., MS Word and MS-Excel
Good communication skills
Experience in accounting and financial systems is advantageous
Trained on IFRS is advantageous
Language Requirements (Essential):
Essential: Proficiency in English and Amharic
