Company Overview

Awach SACCO Is a saving and credit cooperative established on 13/07/1999 E.C. in Arada Sub-city by Mr. Zerihun Sheleme, founder and general manager with 41 initial members. having in mind a long-range objective of encouraging saving mobilization culture and loan provision in the community with a strong commitment and belongingness, coupled with shared visions of the founders; Awach became a truly serving financial institution within a few years after the establishment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the overall project activities from the inception to commissioning.

  • Prepare the project office plan and budget for duration the project life and put the Project milestone based on the project lifetime.

  • Administrate all the necessary bid process and selection of the consultant and contractors for the HQ building.

  • Facilitating and deliver all the necessary legal issues for construction of the HQ.

  • Supervise and inspect the tasks that are to be, or are already, completed.

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.

  • Evaluate and report the construction progress as per the project evaluation time frame.

  • Work with the Consultant and contractor on behalf of the Awach SACCOS

  • Receive report from the consultant and contractor regularly and assure the reports that are submitted corrected and real.

  • Organize and support the financial team with the necessary financial document in compliance of the Awach Accounting Procedure

  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.

  • Manage the procurement process as per the Awach SACCOS procurement management guideline.

  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.

  • Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders, and ensuring technical feasibility

  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.

  • Implement and manage changes when necessary to meet project deliverables.

  • Evaluate, monitor, and assess the result of the project.

  • Submit a regular and periodical progress report to the Project executive committee.

Job Requirements

Education

  • BA, MA, or PhD holder and graduated with Project Management, Management, IT and any related field of study.

General

  • 6 Years for BA/BSc holders and 4Years for MA/MSc or above and proven work Experience in project management

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Project planning, risk management, time management and other project management skills

  • Teamwork and strong interpersonal communications

  • Project management qualification (PMP), Certified associate in project management (CAPM), or equivalent experience as a project manager

  • Experience in strategic planning, risk management and/or change management.
