Menschen für Menschen Foundation Project Coordinator Office (PCO) wishes to invite applicants with the following qualifications and experiences.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Receive instructions for drilling parameters as well as other work procedures and ensure their correct application.

• Verify the status of operations and equipment before beginning work.

• Check and set up the equipment necessary for the assigned work.

• Operate the draw work during drilling activities and complex maneuvers.

• Ensure that the reporting routines are followed and that all equipment related paper works are carried out.

• Coordinate, supervise and instruct all personnel assigned to him for assistance of their duties and responsibilities and of any special safety precaution.

• Carry out the quality of drilling, rehabilitation works, casing installation, well development and gravel packing.

• Promptly report all accidents, near-miss accidents and non-conformance.

• Intervene promptly and opportunely in emergencies.

• Ensure that good working environment is maintained on the drill areas.

Duty station:   Addis Ababa

Language:   A good command of spoken & written English

Salary:   Negotiable

Job Requirements

Qualifications:        

• Diploma/Certificate in Drilling and 4th grade driving license (additional training in drilling management is an advantage).

Work Experience:

• 15 years of experience in drilling out of which at least four years in drilling supervisor or chief driller. Also, 3 years in heavy duty truck driving experience is required.

Training:                  

• Training in welding is an advantage.
