Job Description
Design, develop and implement communication programs to enhance internal and external understanding of the organization’s strategies, achievements and objectives and communicate internally and externally on initiatives and the business direction of the organization.
Develop and implement internal and/or external communications strategies in line with BGI and group guidelines and administer communication activities throughout the Company.
Act as a spokesperson for BGI Ethiopia, representing the organization in media interviews, press conferences, and public events, emphasizing BGI corporate image
Manage distribution, publication and editing of organization’s brochure/newsletter (whether it be via email or hard copy) to communicate all major communication messages, announcements, updates and general news the organization seeks to impart.

Create and implement effective communication plans to ensure consistent messaging across various platforms, emphasizing the positive social impact of our activities.
Establish and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and key industry influencers to generate positive media coverage and maximize brand exposure for our CSR efforts.
Proactively identify and engage with media opportunities to showcase BGI Ethiopia's achievements, initiatives, and thought leadership in CSR and sustainability.
Craft compelling press communication materials that effectively communicate BGI’s image, initiatives and achievements
Act as a spokesperson for BGI Ethiopia, representing the organization in media interviews, press conferences, and public events, emphasizing our CSR achievements and goals.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including executives, department heads, and subject matter experts, to curate, integrate and maintain uniform communication and knowledge management practices.
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders fostering positive partnerships that support our CSR objectives.
Manage the Company social media networks and monitor industry trends, and sustainability practices to identify opportunities for proactive Communication
Measure and evaluate the impact of Communication initiatives and prepare reports showcasing progress and achievements.
Bachelor’s degree in public relations, Communications, CSR, Sustainability, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
6- 8years’ hands on professional experience of years’ experience and 5 years of experience in corporate communication management roles
Strong understanding corporate communication principles, practices, and strategies, with a focus on showcasing Corporate image.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop corporate knowledge management repositories.
Demonstrated expertise in media relations, including experience with media outreach, press release development, and media monitoring.
Strong relationship-building and networking skills, with the ability to effectively engage with government stakeholders.
Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a results-oriented mindset and a focus on driving
Good knowledge of the company, its businesses and culture.
Proficient in both spoken and written English, Amharic and other local languages.
Knowledge of French language will be an advantage.
