Habesha Breweries S.C. is looking for an Assistant Finance Manager- Treasury Operations.

The Role

  • Ensure the company’s local and foreign financial needs are fulfilled.

  • Make sure all properties of the company are covered with appropriate insurance policies and renewed timely.

  • Manage effective banking relationships and administer the company’s loan

Result Areas & Responsibilities

Effective liquidity management and provision of foreign currency 

  •  Fulfill financial requirements of the company by facilitating and providing bank loans.

  • Provide foreign currency of 7 million Euro/as per the agreed plan for different needs of the company.

  • Provide loan scheme for employees of Habesha by corresponding with banks.

  • Ensure efficient utilization of cash by executing cash transfers from bank to bank. 

  • Prepare cash position reports and trend analysis weekly. 

Cash flow management and financing cost minimization 

  • Manage cash flow 

  • Minimize financing costs by implementing various financing cost minimization methods.  

Bank relationship management

  • Facilitate relationships between the top management of Habesha and banks.

  • Build effective banking relationships with key decision-makers for the provision of loans and foreign currency..

Shareholder transaction management 

  • Journalize shareholder transactions & reconcile every month with shareholder office.

  • Prepare and send transfer letters to banks for account-to-account dividend payments.

Property insurance management

Renew all property insurance providing all the necessary data to the insurance company.Buy a new type of insurance coverage 

Company loan managementPrepare loan applications and compile necessary documentation.Submit loan applications and required documents to banks and follow up for approval.Administer property registration after the loan approval.Prepare principal and interest schedules and follow up for timely repayment.Journalize interest, currency devaluation/revaluation accruals, and repayments.Perform reconciliation of loan accounts

Job Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business required

  • 6 years of experience

  • Strong knowledge of financial instruments, credit facilities, and treasury best practices

  • Knowledge of general treasury, forecasting, budgeting, and related accounting

  • Strong financial modeling

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to lead collaboratively

  • Excellent communication skills in dealing with internal and external customers and business partners

  • Strong analytical, financial, and systems skills, including advanced spreadsheet and modeling skills

  • Strong experience with bank reconciliations

  • Knowledge of banking systems and experience
